After writing yesterday's bump watch post I started thinking...I should seriously stop buying clothes and start buying things that this little bambino is going to need. I started looking at a couple of baby registry lists and I quickly become very overwhelmed. Do I really "need" a wipe warmer? We have a house and a crib (as of last night!) what else could a tiny human need? I have a strong hate for clutter and owning things that aren't necessary. So what do I really need? I don't have a clue, and I'm on the brink of a nervous breakdown. What are your favorite baby products? What can you not live without? What items do you feel are unnecessary? Thanks for your help in advance!

  1. Clothes, car seat, Crib, formula, diapers, wipes, shampoo, baby bath, lotion, powder, diaper rash cream, q tips, rubbing alcohol (umbilical cord), diaper bag, nail clippers, comb or brush and nose sucker are more along the lines of things I would say you need. Tylenol, humidifier can also be helpful when baby is sick, you may need bottles (a cleaning brush) bottle drying racks are usually inexpensive breast pump. receiving blanket and burp rags can be nice they do add more laundry. Changing table or a pad can be useful. something that plays music like a mobile, alarm clock can work or you could sing most babies like music helps put them to sleep. baby bath tub, hooded towels, baby washcloths, binkies (pacifier), swing, bouncer, as they get older a highchair or seat for while they are eating. It just depends on what you want to use. There are a lot of things that you don't need. I have a friend that bought a wipes warmer and a bottle warmer and used it a few times and that's it. I had a diaper genie used it for maybe a month and decided it was a waist of money I could just take it outside. I would say if you have to question it you probably don't have to have it. Good luck!!

  2. A wipe warmer?!?! Haha... That's too funny Mag! Just remember it's a cold harsh world out there, better toughen that kid up from the beginning I say. But then again I know nothing about bambinos!

  3. So much baby stuff is unnecessary!!!! No wipe warmer- seriously. Play pen is needed for travel- which you guys do a lot of. A swing or a vibrating seat is pretty important. My favorite baby item is my lazy boy recliner- I live in that thing. If it seems over the top, it probably is.

The one thing I wish I bought with my first is a nice breast pump. I regret never having bought one.

  4. Just found your blog and its adorable! Your bump photos are so cute!! My baby is ten months old and I thought I needed so many things that I never even used.. Definitely no wipe warmer. It might be nice at home but what happens when you are in public and you have to use cold wipes, your baby will freak lol! I loved/love my bumbo, rock n play, swing, and boppy. Those were the bits things I used probably daily for at least the first 6 months!
